Died at his home in Silver City Saturday of a heart attack. Had resided in Silver City 9 years. A native of Saegerstown, Pa., he lived in Silver City til 1906 when he married Bell Silesbee and moved to Nebraska.

Roy Derby Dies While At Work In Yard

Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Silver City Methodist church for Roy Derby 71, who died suddenly Saturday morning at his home from a heart attack.

Mr. Derby who had resided in Silver City the past nine years suffered a heart ailment several months ago.

A native of Saegerstown, Pennsylvania, he lived in Silver City until 1906 when he married Belle Silesbee and moved to Nebraska.

Surviving are his widow and two sons, Oren and Arthur Derby of Meadow, Nebraska, and two sisters Mrs. C. J. Frazier of Silver City and Mrs. Florence Greno of Corning, California.

James-Reid funeral home was in charge of the arrangements, with Rev. John C. Turner officiating. Burial was in the Silver City cemetery.

Music was furnished by Catharine Skerritt, Carita Kruse, Francis Clipson, Donna Mott with Mrs. R. P. Galt, pianist.

Flower ladies were Isabelle Derby, Joyce Derby and Bonnie Derby.

Pallbearers were: Bernard Derby, Leroy Derby, Jim Derby, Marion Archer, Devon Archer and Edgar Derby. Ushers: Russel Myers and Gail Burgoin.
